I recently purchased a property through Rob and Linda and I couldn't speak more highly of the experience. A year or two ago, I was thinking about selling my house in Matakana, but not knowing any real estate agents in the area, a friend of mine suggested that I talk to Linda Smith from Premium Real Estate. My wife and I marketed our home at 3B Tamahunga Drive, Matakana with Jim and Linda through August/October 2018. I had known Jim professionally for probably 30 years and that contact was the reason we chose Premium in the first place as I considered his experience and knowledge of the vagaries of the residential property market to be without peer. We first met Linda in June 2018 when we entered into an agency agreement and were immediately impressed with her energy and efficiency.
The marketing programme was extensive and thorough and 1 believe our property had the maximum exposure we could have hoped for-the photography was outstanding and the whole presentation was immaculate. We had a series of open home viewings which Linda largely ran; like clockwork I must say and she made what can be quite a challenging process extremely easy on us.
Looking back I believe our property was well received in the market place and there was an encouraging level of interest. However I also believe that at about that time, September/October 2018, the market was turning; evidence was properties were starting to take longer to sell and the resultant softening in prices was looming. With this backdrop Jim and Linda secured an offer around mid-October that was unconditional but had a few issues around price, chattels and settlement date.
These issues were overcome and by the end of October we had an unconditional contract; in no small part to the tenacity Jim and Linda showed and the sage advice they proffered us when the sale looked as though it may founder.
