Mel Weinstein adds her youthful enthusiasm and dynamism to the experienced and knowledgeable Weinstein family team to provide an excellent real estate service that’s unparalleled on the Point.
Originally from Canada, Mel forged a successful banking career before moving to New Zealand in 2013 to settle and start a family.
With an entrepreneurial spirit, she has travelled extensively and had many enriching experiences, working in places like Central and South America where she was a professional diver. It was in the Whistler ski resort that she met her Kiwi husband while working and living in the mountains.
She is financially savvy and steadily moved up through the ranks to become an astute mortgage advisor. At the bank, Mel attained the highest possible service level that was rewarded with a Best of the Best Award.
While the systems are different between the two countries, there are definitely parallels in working with financial and property products, she says. Having a strong service background has been advantageous in her current role.
Her strengths lie in her dedicated customer service and her ability to negotiate to bring the two parties together to close the deal while alleviating stress levels for both sellers and buyers.
Mel genuinely cares about getting top results for her clients. And having three people on the team with complementary skills and a substantial network of qualified buyers lets them maximise value. Mel, Fran and Phil ensure their clients’ properties stand head and shoulders above the rest, gaining maximum exposure in an increasingly competitive market. They’ve been through several property cycles so they can anticipate the changes and adapt their marketing techniques accordingly.
Mel lives with her husband and two children and works locally on the North Shore. An outdoors girl, she loves the beaches, the bush walks, the mountains so close, the shops and the events that make the Shore so vibrant. When it’s time to sell, Mel is well-equipped to offer canny advice.
